Whedon to write pilot for a S.H.I.E.L.D TV show

ABC just gave the green light to make a show based around Nick Fury and the rest of the super spies over at S.H.I.E.L.D.  They have reached an agreement which left the script for the pilot episode in the very capable hands of Joss Whedon , who recently brought the peace keeping organization to the big screen in the Avengers. Helping him with the script we have brother Jed Whedon  and Maurissa Tancharoen (Dollhouse).  If the project gets picked up he will be executive producer along with brother Jed and Jeph Loeb of  Marvel Television. Joss Whedon earned his fan following with Buffy the Vampire Slayer a cult classic television program, lets hope he brings the same charm and farm service to these beloved characters.
