TNT knows drama. That’s what we keep hearing over and over through everyone of their commercials. TNT’s slogan is like all those other major companies that drill slogans into people’s minds until they even develop dreams with brough in part by those companies as “sponsors” (i.e: “I’m loving it”).

TNT originally was known for its sports events and reruns of network TV dramas like ER and NYPD Blue. As TNT grew out of its initial shell, they became confident enough to slate their own original dramas. With the success of original drama series like The Closer, Hawthorne, Saving Grace and Men of a Certain Age; TNT is now preparing to launch a few more originals. TNT decided that what they needed was a cop drama that will test the fortitude of all the rest by the name of Boston Blue and a competition show (like Survivor/Amazing Race) called 72 Hours. Both these shows are slated to be dished out this upcoming fall.

Boston Blue

Executive produced by Donnie Wahlberg and Donnie D. Productions, is an original show about the Boston Police Department’s Gang Unit.

72 Hours

A competition in which the contestants are thrown into the wilderness for three days with only a GPS to aid them in finding a suitcase full of cash before their rivals get it.Ā  The show comes from the companies that brough you Extreme Makeover, The ApprenticeĀ  and A Moment of Truth.
