Theron Rumored To Play Marie Colvin
Charlize Theron is no stranger when it comes to acting range. She has been in various dramatic, action and comedic roles and successfully portrayed her role in each one. From Aeon Flux to the sci-fi prequel Prometheus, she has done an excellent job in telling the story and assisting her fellow actors with her screen presence. She now is filming Mad Max:Fury Road, ala the old 80′s apocalyptic future that is nothing but dismal and bleak.
The latest project Theron is planning to undertake is a biopic based on Marie Colvin; the fearless female journalist from Vanity Fair. Colvin was a war correspondent whose stories mainly focused on the Middle East. She was responsible for reporting on many stories including an interview with Colonel Gadaffi and the Arab Spring in 2011. She was a key part in assisting with the release of 1500 women and children from East Timor in 1999. Colvin had suffered many physical challenges including her loss of her left eye from a Sri Lanka rocket that exploded. Although still in its planning stages it will be interesting to see how Theron will portray this courageous woman’s story.
