The Office will forever change….again.
Are you a fan of The Office? If I asked you that question now as opposed to early 2005 when the TV show first premiered, I would receive very different answers. The universe of televised comedy has been effectively altered with the success of this remake of a hit BBC TV series.
The show is a mockumentary that documents the exploits of paper supply company Dunder Mifflin. From the success of The Office many other current hits have hit our sets including Parks & Recreations, Modern Family, Community, etc. Things began changing when Steve Carrell, famous for his portrayal of Michael Scott in the series, was announced to be leaving the show.
Today I’m here to tell you that your world may flip over at least one more time. EW.com announced that Paul Lieberstein (writer-producer and also plays Toby Fienderson ) will leave the series. Yup, The Office is looking for a new showrunner and your life will never be the same. The writer-producer-actor is trying to focus on a spin-off to the series (with the working title of : The Farm) in which Rainn Wilson (Dwight) will go back to his family’s beet farm and Bed & Breakfast.
Oh did I also mention that Mindy Kaling (Kelly Kapoor) will also be gone next season as well as James Spader (Robert California)? I’ll give you a minute to catch your breath, don’t worry I’ll wait.
