For those of us trying to get the bad taste left in our mouths by the Michael Bay/TMNT fiasco , it seems our prayers have been answered. Lionsgate Entertainment will release a the entire 1987 classic series on a gargantuan 23 disc box set. It will include all 193 episodes in their original Saturday morning cartoon glory. This means episode will be presented in 1.33:1 full frame and have a 2.0 Dolby digital audio. Ported from other Turtles box sets are 3 hours of accumulated bonus footage/features. All these awesome , radical and tubular DVD’s will be packaged in a replica Turtle van that will have you wanting to bust out your Turtle action figures and shout “COWABUNGA!!!”. Pull up a comfy chair, order your favorite pizza with the works and watch all 73 hours of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a three-day week-end well wasted in my book. That’s right kids, the days of 3 episode VHS tapes are over, we are grown men and we waste money as we see fit. Suggested retail price is $100 , but Amazon has a pre-order price of $69.99. The Turtle Van and all the goodies it holds will be available November 13, 2012.
