Slender,and indie game worth checking out,if you like the be-jesus scared out of you
For those of you unfamiliar with the urban legend of  Slenderman,he is a boogieman of sorts that appears only to those who he wants to take. First recorded incident was when a small town in small town USA reported a whole class of students missing when they went on a field trip to the woods. All that was recovered by the police was a few canisters of film, when developed , they showed pictures of children with an unseen man in the background , Unusually tall and slender with stretched out limbs and no face in the distance unseen by the children that are in the same picture. This story was made up in internet forums when a website held a constant to see who was the saviest with photoshop and create a picture and submit it to a paranormal website,out of this constant people created slenderman .
This game created by Parsec productions,originally was a new developer testing out the companies game engine, after a week Slender was plopped out and has gone viral since. A very simple concept, you are dropped in the middle of  the woods with just a flashlight and limited stamina, your only objective is to find 8 pages , each page reveals some secret or a cryptic creepy message left by someone before you. No explanation ,just do it. After you find the first page ,you here a thunderous st of foot steps that seem to always be right behind you ,no matter how fast you run or how much you walk. Every other page another piece of sound track is added and this is truly what scares you,with some added help of the setting,it makes you feel alone,isolated….well almost. It is pitch black whenever you don’t have your flashlight on,oh yeah i forgot to mention that you run out of batteries so use it sparingly. This a fairly short game, it only has the one objective and the location of the pages is different every time. It is free to download on sites like mediafire ,so i urge you to get it now…or at least till you are done browsing this site. I recomend playing in the dark and with headphones on…and a a change of underwear…enjoy.
