Naked Pizza is located off Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach in a little shopping center. The place is very unassuming and if you weren’t looking for it, you wouldn’t notice it off the main drag. Walking into the place it was small and decorated in bright colors. The bright lime green. wood grained fixtures, and aluminum metal chairs made me think of one of the juice bar chains (Jamba Juice). The great thing about this place is that it’s open late; the hours on the door reflected times past 12am. They offered online ordering options as well as carry-out and delivery service.
The food here caters to an active and healthy lifestyle. Pizza is technically not considered a healthy food choice but with the ingredients that Naked Pizza uses might make you change your mind. They offer whole grain prebiotic dought that tastes delicious. If you are allergic to wheat, they offer a gluten-free crust. All the ingredients are fresh and organic. They cut the use of processed products as much as possible and when you get your pizza, it’s hot and fresh every time. I had the ragin cajun 12 inch gluten-free that I shared with my friends. I was able to eat this triangle of fresh lean sausage, chicken, garlic, bell pepper, and onion layered underneath a blanket of fresh gooey mozzarella. The crust was crisp and the toppings just melted on the palate like one beautiful symphony of flavor. Yeah. I’d eat here again. You couldn’t tell from the prices either. A decent sized pie was about 10-12 dollars which for this health conscious foodie was the right price.
