Bo-beau Kitchen and Garden in La Mesa is scrumptiously delicious. Everything sounded so good from the appetizers to the main courses. It was a hard decision to choose. When you first walk in you will notice the changes that were made by the Cohn group. The décor is cozy with a French county look. Christmas lights and decorations were throughout the restaurant adding to the spirit. This restaurant has only been open a couple of months but service was obviously their number one concern. Impeccable! Smiles abound throughout the restaurant. Our waitress was Heather at table 18. She was knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. She gets an A plus. We enjoyed her.

We started with the French onion soup ($7.50) just loaded with gooey cheese and bread cubes. I have to say it is one of the best French onion soups in San Diego.

For an appetizer we had the charcuterie board (14.50). This had three meats with house made accouterments that were as delicious as the board. That was accompanied by some crunchy bread. Another good choice.

We chose a second appetizer, Mary’s flat bread with potatoes, creamy garlic and goat cheese (16.00). I don’t know why it’s named Mary’s but she could make that flat bread any day for us. It again surpassed our expectations and filled our stomachs.

Of course their selection of wine was excellent. We had a Badenhurst white blend ($8) and several Landmark Chards ($12.00) throughout the evening to compliment the exceptional food.

I hear they have some tempting deserts but we needed to box the rest of our flat bread so no desert for us, (this time)

Bravo Bo-Beau we will be back.
