The game is worth picking up for 1) those who are fans of the series, 2) wanna get a good shooter on the Wii and 3) want a bit more insight into the series. If you aren’t a big Resident evil fan, I would not recommend it, simply because you wont get much of the story
I picked this game up for $20 bucks and after playing it, gotta say I’m glad I waited this long to pick it up. Resident Evil: the Umbrella Chronicles is not a new story in the series. It’s more like a behind the scenes to some of the other Resident Evil games. Not to say that the game is bad! ( By all means I’m enjoying playing and revisiting environments from previous Resident Evil games such as the Mansion, Raccon City and a few others). The game play is good; kinda wished there were more zombies to kill. I also wished the mood of the game was a bit more tense like all the other games in the series. One of the biggest problems for me were the controls. It just seemed a bit overwhelming; from switching between multiple weapons, throwing grenades at a horde of zombies , reloading and so on. The game has lots of things for players to do from different scenarios and sub scenarios. You can upgrade the different weapons you collect throughout the game (Believe me. there is quite a bit to collect).
