With over 1.7 million Disgaea Games sold,Nippon-ichi and Udon have collaborated together to bring a treat to the Disgaea fans of America, as well as those who are not able to read Japanese. Introducing DISGAEArt, the official illustration collection of the World of Disgaea. This book contains works from and inspired by Takehito Harada, Lead Character designer at NIS Japan. From Game Covers to promo items dating back from 2003 to present day, this book has it all.

Every character and their bios have been carefully translated from the Japanese art books then organized and indexed for fans, both new and old to follow and understand their allies and enemies. With around 600 illustrations including scenes and cinematic seen in the first four games dating back to Disgaea: Hour of Darkness for the PS2 back in 2003 up to the current Disgaea 4 : The Promise Unforgotten. Along with art pieces from the games as well as the side adventures with the Prinnies, the art book also contains translated works from comic strips, game novel illustrations and Soundtrack covers which have never been seen by American audiences.

For those who are familiar with Japanese art books in a small format and flimsy paper stock, UDON has converted the book by increasing the height of the pages by 2 inches making it the American standard book size as well as a thicker paper stock for better durability. Might we add DISGAEArt is definitely an archive book for shelves of gamers everywhere.
