Within the line of shows picked up for the new line up of pilots this fall, Animal Practice has been picked up for a 13 episode stint on NBC.

Animal Practice will join Justin Kirk (Weeds) with Tyler Labine (Reaper) and Bobby Lee (Harold and Kumar, MadTV). The show will revolve around a veterinarian clinic and a House-like vet who loves animals but abhors pet owners.

The show has not even been premiered on the network and it’s already facing with some trouble. Amy Huberman, who played a role in the pilot episode, will not be returning for following episodes. Huberman is better known in her native Ireland, Animal Practice was actually her first U.S. gig. I guess we won’t know what she could have done with the character in upcoming episodes.

I should add that I hope all of you check out this show when it finally airs. I would hate to see Justin Kirk’s talent be wasted. His role as Andy Botwin in the hit show Weeds has at times cheered me up on long arduous days. If you won’t do it for yourself then do it for me, come on people; its for the greater good. Actually let’s all check out the pilot episode and I’ll get back to you on if its worth the trouble or not at all. Judging by the fact that it was picked up for 12 following episodes, my guess is that this show could be the next hit.
