Menue Games Launches the Gravity-Defying Game Astro Lander
Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Philippines – Menue Games has released a game that will feed the old-school masses. What do I mean? Well, it’s called Astro Lander.
Back in the day, in the age of the Atari 2000 system, there used to be two games that garnered much attention. In fact, years later, these games continued to be revamped and released on the PC and sometimes even on actual consoles. What games am I speaking of? Well they have lived by various names, right now I can only think of two names (specially since after checking google I still can’t find the names of the originals). They go by Meteor Blast and Lunar Lander.
Meteor Blast consisted mostly on a flying spacecraft that hovered in space, whose only goal was to fire at oncoming meteors and destroying them in order to collect points. Not only that, no sir, there is more! After blasting the meteors into a thousand pieces, if you’re lucky, you would find a gem to collect for even more points. O_0
Lunar Lander was very self explanatory, just like Meteor Blast. LL required you to man a…wait for it…lunar lander and land on the moon. Sounds easy right? NO, heck no, I always crashed and blew up and bleh.
Astro Lander, brought to you on Android by Menue Games, combines the two games into an awesome little thing you can play while you punish some porcelain, or ride the bus, or just need to kill a couple minutes. The game focuses on using tactics and precision to defy gravity.
The aim of the game is to safely land the ship into the landing pad while carrying cargo. The game features different planets with different obstacles and mysteries. Power-ups such as a fuel boost and net can be attained by purchasing it with in-game Astro Coins. Players are also given the option to share their achievement through social networking sites.
