‘Hunger Games’ Sequel Finds a Director
So with the success of The Hunger Games it is only natural that they would make the sequel Caching Fire. But here is the bad news writer/director Gary Ross droped out of the project little more than a week ago. Ross dropped out of the project last week do to time constraints. Ross said in a statement “As a writer and a director, I simply don’t have the time I need to write and prep the movie I would have wanted to make because of the fixed and tight production schedule.” Fear not though Lionsgate is preparing to make an offer to Francis Lawrence, who helmed “I Am Legend” and “Water for Elephants,” to direct the second installment of the “Hunger Games” franchise.
