Gamestop CEO J. Paul Raines, revealed at the Game Expo, a convention hosted by Gamestop, that he is looking to start selling retro classics at retail stores. Raines says that he has  been looking at how much vintage wares go for on Ebay and was very impressed at what some were fetching on the internet. It seems that the chain of stores has been stock piling classics. No clear date was given, just the promise that they will be selling vintage games as long as the market is there. What does this means for retro gamers ??  Expect a reliable source for the retro classics that we all know  and love, but expect prices to be overinflated for most major titles . So start searching my fellow retro fiends , proverbial winter is coming. Look for the classics on your wish list now, before Gamestop messes up the market.  As am aside, Gamestop did carry retro titles  a few years ago  but chose to phase out selling these classics due to poor sales.
