It was my first time attending Gam3rCon and my impressions of the Con are while it is a small venue its a cool Con and has potential to grow. While it was a small Con compared to most the atmosphere and the feel is there. You had the gaming floor that was set up very well with TV’s everywhere with games from Call Of Duty, Gears Of War, Super Smash Bros, Halo Reach, Street Fighter and if you didn’t see a game that you wanted to play and there was a TV available you could ask one of the volunteers if they had the game you wish to play. You also had a bit of artwork in an upstairs floor for you to check out and buy if you so choose too. While I did see some cool artwork kinda wish there would have been a bit more of it in the room that was designated for the art work. You also had a table top gaming section upstairs were many people played board games from Monopoly, Yatzee, Risk and a few others. If you wanted to play a game and didn’t know or were unsure of how to play it the volunteers were more than happy to assist you in teaching you how to play the game. You also had a few panels throughout the Con for those interested to take a break from all the games. They had very interesting panels from mobile apps and the future of gaming, a look inside competitive gaming, table top gaming an inside look and a few other panels. Overall this Con while it may be only in its infancy it has potential to grow. It has a good vibe and a feel to it that I enjoyed.
