Expendables 3 wish list
The staff here at That’s My Entertainment put together a complex list(well,not really) of action stars we felt were missing from the recent expendable movie. To get on this very prestigious list you have to meet a few criteria…Bad ass levels over 9000,have to be in a hand full of memorable action movies and to be part of the Hollywood elderly that have no place in a current action movie. The list is mostly of my chosen…because i wrote the damn thing and my opinion is way more valid…although a lot of names were dropped by my fellow staff.
That’s right Jack Burton himself,Kurt Russel has plenty of action movie experience, Big Trouble in Little China,Stargate,Escape from New York and of course the Stallone classic Tango and Cash. Not only is he a bad ass he also has the acting chops that most of the roster is lacking. Definitely bring a sort of John Wayne kind of feel to his role.
The most obvious choice of the list, Steven Segal. When one thinks of 90′s action he is the one that comes to mind. This man has the ability to break necks at 4 for minute. His role in Machete as a drug lord ,made him a well rounded action star being able to play the hero and the menace. Maybe he can join the ranks as a villain like Van Damme did in the sequel.
Donnie Yen,an awesome martial artist would be an excellent counter point to Jet Li’s character. The only thing the expandable franchise is missing ,was always the lack of martial arts. Although there is a few scenes,it mostly focused on guns and explosions, Bring in Donnie Yen would fix this problem right up.
