Norman Reedus, who non-Saint fans would recognize from The Walking Dead, has recently confirmed in an interview that a third Boondock Saints movie is in the works!  IFC was chatting with Reedus about the upcoming Walking Dead season when the topic of a third movie came up.

I’m in L.A right now. I’m meeting with Sean [Patrick Flanery] and Troy [Duffy] tonight. I just landed a couple hours ago and tonight I’m going over to Troy’s house with Sean. It’s definitely in the works. Look for it. It’s gonna be crazy.

So it looks like it’s on its way, even if there’s not a script at the moment.  Since the 2nd movie took 10 years to see theaters I wouldn’t get too excited yet, but as a fan I couldn’t be more thrilled.  I, and fellow TME staff writer David Burrola, are both huge Boondock Saints fans and after their All Saints Day panel at Comic-Con we got to go meet up with them at the Tilted Kilt in downtown San Diego.  Everyone in the cast are awesome people, and I got to get a picture with Billy Connolly, who I’ve been a fan of since his days doing stand-up comedy.  Sean Patrick Flannery and Normon Reedus are big supporters of the U.S. army and personalized an autographed movie poster for Dave’s brother.  Long story short, these are great people making great movies.  For me, a new movie isn’t just a chance to see the Saints in action again, but to visit with friends.  We’ll keep our ear to the ground for more news!
